(Video) What to Include in Your Daily Routine: Benefits of Affirmations

Your daily routine plays a big role in your efforts to create and sustain wealth in your life. Including affirmations in your daily routine can push you past whatever gets in your path, keeping you from getting things done – just one of the benefits of affirmations included in this video.

 

 

Many people, even successful people say things like:

  • I’m just like you.
  • I’m just like everyone else.
  • I have things that get in the way.
  • Life happens.
  • Kids get sick
  • Dogs get run over, they die
  • Parents get ill
  • Boss calls for overtime

All kinds of things can get in your path and keep you from getting things done.

One of my mentors and coaches, Ray Higdon, gets up in the morning and the very first thing he does is say affirmations. I have been good at saying affirmations for years, but it has never been the first thing I have done in the morning. Now my daily routine – the first thing in the morning when I get up – as I’m brushing my teeth and as I’m washing my face, includes saying my affirmations.

 

When life hands you lemons

I’ve added lemon water to my daily routine – every day. Lemon is good for you; it’s refreshing tasting and gives you a ‘spin’ on different water. You should have a glass of water every day when you get up and lemon water is great!

 

The benefits of ‘new things’ and daily things

Another ‘new thing’ that I’ve incorporated into my daily routine is to sit with my eyes closed, after taking a couple deep breaths, and really be grateful for all the good in my life. There are so many things to be grateful for. We just don’t always take the time to think about it.

Try setting a soothing alarm, for at least 5 minutes, and do this daily:

  • Sit quietly and be grateful
  • Include being grateful for family, friends, co-workers, employees
  • Notice and be grateful for your surroundings
  • Be grateful for your health
  • Be grateful for new things you’ve learned

The benefits of really feeling what you’re grateful for will make a difference in your life!

After the alarm goes off, sit there for another 5 minutes and reset your alarm and I visualize for even more benefits. Visualize about things that:

  • You want
  • What you want to do
  • The person you want to become

I want to speak on stage more, so that’s what one of my visualizations has been…speaking on stage, feeling confident that I’m providing value to people by being on that stage.

Your daily routine should benefit you and your business

In the past, I would shoot out emails at 5, 6, or 7 o’clock in the morning. But that draws you into other people’s days. You’re now drawn into doing things that other people want you to do, instead of controlling your time to build content for your audiences or plan webinars – things that benefit YOU and your business. Spending too much time on email can cause you to lose track of time.

Add affirmations to the end of your day. Just before you go to sleep, read or say your affirmations.

And don’t forget to add exercise to your daily routine to boost your confidence and energy level, and feel great! Another benefit to your day, your business and your life.
